The introduction of distributed generation (DG) in the electrical grid and integratedthem together as microgrid is considered as one of the major changes in the path towardsfuture grids. Nevertheless, it may impact the electrical grid in the following ways: voltageprofile, power quality and reliability, losses and congestions, stability, etc. There arevarious ways of mitigating the adverse effects, such as coordinated control of DG, use ofstorage devices and use of distribution-FACTs. Since the unified power flow controller(UPFC), one of the FACTs devices, can regulate voltages, control power flower, damposcillations, limit short-circuit currents, compensate for voltage sags, and generate reactivepower etc. Applying UPFC in the microgrid would be significative.This paper according to the basic structure of a micro-grid simulation modelconstructed, introduced microgrid characteristics of the composition and operation ofintroduced micro-controllable and uncontrollable power supply control method for themicro-analyzes, the use of back-to-back inverter for power flow control low cost, thispaper presents a unified power flow controller to regulate the micro-grid trend.Since UPFC is a micro power flow control actuator, if you want to get a bettermicro-power flow control effect, we must solve the problem of its control system, throughthe analysis of UPFC in micro-grid power relations come UPFC controller is a strongcoupling nonlinear multi-input multi-output system, this paper uses fuzzy neural networksto solve the problem of its control system, first introduced the fuzzy control and neuralnetwork integration, gives fuzzy neural network control theory, and then give a fuzzyneural network control structure and the network structure and neural network learningalgorithm, FNNC control system algorithms.This paper builds a simulation model of micro-power flow based on UPFCcontrolling, and the simulation results show the UPFC can control the micro-grid powerflow easily and effectively.
