As we all know, subway traffic has characteristics of high speed, large transportcapacity, non-polluting and time certainty, it has now become the most convenient urbantransport way in the world’s major cities. However, with the constant expansion of ourrail transportation, as well as the acceleration of the speed, reliability and security on thesubway have being demanded more highly. Therefore, in order to achieve real-timemonitoring of critical equipment’s failure on the subway train and analysis of faultfeature data, research on a thorough subway fault management system is urgent, so that itwould help to improve the driving safety and efficiency of the subway.According to characteristics of subway fault detection, this paper will give aproposal of fault management system based on data warehouse technology. What’s more,according to the feature of the dynamic fuzzy clustering, an updated dynamic fuzzyclustering algorithm is proposed and applied to subway fault diagnosis, which makesoptimization of the subway failure analysis and decision-making. The subway faultsystem built in this paper has an important role to enhance the while performance of thesubway train, ensure road safety and improve efficiency of Subway vehicle maintenanceand other aspects as well.Firstly, in this paper, data warehouse and clustering analysis are introduced, and thefeasibility of clustering analysis applied to the fault detection is analyzed; Secondly,according to characteristics of subway fault detection, the dynamic fuzzy clustering basedon objective function is analyzed and an improved dynamic fuzzy clustering algorithm isproposed and applied to the subway failure analysis and decision-making; Then, with thehelp of data warehouse technology, the overall structure of the subway fault system iscreated based on the business analysis, including function module of this system, anddesign method of data warehouse in fault diagnosis; Next, this paper has a study on thekey technology in the Subway fault system and achievement at aspects of hardware andsoftware. Also, examples of fuzzy clustering application in fault detection are discussed;At last, a test of subway fault management system is processed, which can verify thefeasibility and reliability of this system designed.
