Anchor and Mooring Winch is an important role on the safe operation of ship as one of the ship equipment. These equipments are proceeding large-scale with the increase of tonnage, and also the load is more and more big, requirements of the equipment are also getting higher and higher. The Control System of Anchor Windlass is a bit complicated. Ships will be subject to wind, waves, currents and inertia force of the hull when it was at anchor. Anchoring appliances should cooperate and control those external forces in order that ships can berth over the water or mooring at the pier safely and securely. Consequently, it has a very important practical significance to study of the electric drive and control of the Anchor Windlass.Anchor and mooring winch is one of important ship equipments, Three-Speed Anchor Windlass is widely used on ship. But the traditional control system of anchor windlass mostly realizes the system logic control with relay and contactor. This system is complexity connection、large volume、power consumption、poor reliability and changing the system difficultly. While PLC controller is introduced into the anchor and mooring winch system, that can greatly enhance the reliability of the system, and can be easily realized communications between a Master Computer and a Slave Computer, and is more convenient for monitoring running status of anchor and mooring winch.The main contents of the paper which are as follows:1) Function requirement of anchor windlass control system is studied, shortcomings of traditional control system of anchor windlass is analyzed. some methods to make up of the system inadequate of the traditional anchor windlass is putted forward, and give out the control system structure of anchor windlass.2) Two anchor windlass controller systems based on PLC is designed:System based on PLC&Three-Speed Electric Machinery、System based on PLC&Converter. Then analyze and compare the two systems.3) Mooring systems of anchor windlass is analyzes, so control system of anchor windlass is a bit complicated. Ship will be subject to wind, waves, currents and inertial force of the hull when it was at anchor, tensile forces will be changes largely that Causing marine drift.4) The programming tool SIMATIC Manager is Used to write and debug control system’s program, Drive Monitor is used to set converter parameters, and WinCC is usesed to design monitoring and operation interface.4) Three anchor system of the dredger is analyzed, QPSO (Quantum particle swarm optimization) method is usesed to solve the tension allocation, and simulates.
