Though the growing popularity of conventional refrigeration air conditioning systems andequipments provide a good and comfortable indoor residential environment for people, itbrings some new social problems: air conditionings consume huge energy and waste energyseriously, have a big shock on power system and threaten the safe operation of the powergrid, have a negative impact on indoor air quality and reduce comfort. Under thebackground, liquid desiccant air conditioning system driven by heat pump is put forward. Itis not only stable in operation, efficient, energy saving, power saving, but also helpful toimprove indoor air quality, can offer people a more comfortable and healthy living andworking environment. Liquid desiccant air conditioning system driven by heat pump is anew development direction of the ideal air conditioning in the future.Based on the desiccant selection standard and considered its own characteristics of liquiddesiccant air conditioning system driven by heat pump, this paper conclude that LiClsolution is the most suitable as the desiccant of this system after comprehensive analysis anddiscus the physical property of LiCl solution.In this paper, the structure, workflow and characteristics of the system are introduced. Italso analyzes the heat and mass transfer mechanism and liquid desiccant/regenerationprocess feature happened in dehumidifier and regenerator. It points out that the water vaporpartial pressure difference between air and the boundary layer is the driving force of masstransfer. In addition, it discus the mathematical model, its numerical solution way andprocess of the adiabatic type fork flow dehumidifier/regenerator work process.This paper uses this system to conduct the theory design of the experiment system of alab office located in my university. In order to eliminate the redundant condensation heat inthe system timely and effectively, it improves the system through adding an air coolingcondenser on pipes of the refrigeration system in series. It theory energy efficiency ratio(EER) can reach3.69, which saves electricity by12.5%than conventional air cooling unitrefrigeration system.Finally, based on the experimental method to changing a single variable, this paper has anexperimental study on the overall performance of the improved system. It mainly researcheson air volume, fresh air temperature, fresh air moisture, condensing temperature, regeneration solution flow and desiccant solution flow have influence onmoisture removal, liquid regeneration, cooling capacity and the energy consumption of theunit, and provides certain reference data for the performance optimization of liquiddesiccant air conditioning system driven by heat pump.
