Composite foundation was a method of foundation treatment. The fly ash which was onekind of industrial waste was used in the CFG pile composite foundation, so it was economicaland environmental. In recent years, CFG pile composite foundation has been widely used inengineering fields. The soil between piles’ resistance can be made full use owing to thecushion of the CFG pile composite foundation, so the bearing capacity of the CFG pilecomposite foundation was greatly increased. There were some researches about the behaviorof CFG pile composite foundation under vertical loads, but there were few researches for thebehavior of CFG pile composite foundation under horizontal and vertical loads. The behavior of CFG pile composite foundation under horizontal and vertical loads isstudied in this paper. The main works have been done as follows: The static finite elementmodel under horizontal and vertical loads and the dynamic finite element model underearthquake load are built by using ANSYS; It is analyzed that the effects of the cushionthickness, pile length and type of pile on the horizontal force of pile top, the horizontaldisplacement of pile top, the pile’s internal forces and the sedimentation of foundation underthe same horizontal and different vertical loads; It is analyzed that the effects of the cushionthickness, pile length and type of pile on the dynamic characteristics and dynamic response ofCFG pile composite foundation. The behavior of CFG pile composite foundation under complex loads is studied in thispaper. Increasing the cushion thickness and pile length are conducive to the CFG pilecomposite foundation bearing horizontal load, the plan3which corner piles are lengthened isbetter than the other three.
