High-strength concrete with double stirrups has the advantages of high capacity, good deformation properties, saving rebar and good economic effect, so it is astructure with broad prospects for development. With the rapid development ofbuilding materials, the high-strength materials, especially high-strength concrete hasbeen more widely used in the actual project, but its ductility is relatively poor. Inorder to improve the performance of high-strength concrete, the concrete withdouble-stirrups can overcome the shortcomings of the concrete brittle performanceand improve concrete strength and ductility. Therefore, this paper topic has importanttheoretical significance and practical value. In this paper, a plain concrete, three concrete columns with single stirrups andthree concrete columns with double stirrups are tested by axial compression. Themechanical properties of circular concrete columns with double stirrups by axialcompression are studied. The impact of stirrup spacing, the distance between the innerand outer layers of stirrups, impact of stirrup characteristic on binding effect isanalyzed. Determine the optimal spacing of stirrups of confined high strengthconcrete with double stirrups. Meansure and analyze the strain by digital imagecorroelation method. Test results show that: double stirrups can effectively restrain thelateral deformation of reinforced concrete, and it is an obvious effect on the ultimatestrength and ductility of reinforced concrete. By means of test results and previousresearch, the peak stress formula and bearing capacity formula of reinforced concretewith double stirrups is linear regression analyzed. The mechanism of concreteconfined by stirrups is analyzed.
