Low-carbon, energy-saving, environmental protection is a hot topic in today’s society.With the widespread use of lead-acid batteries, lead-acid battery manufacturing industry alsohave rapidly developed. The dryer of lead-acid battery plate occupies an important position inthe battery production, but it is also a larger energy production process. Therefore, improvingthe performance of the dryer is very important.The paper studies on lead-acid battery plates dryer, improved designs the existing platedryer. After researching some dryers of plates, there are some deficiencies in the long-termproduction applications. Therefore, the dryer has been improved designed by analyzing thestatus of research and development at home and abroad dryer, as well as access to relevanttechnical information. A high-efficiency and stable dryer has been designed. In this paper,several aspects have been completed.1) Increasing the thickness of the insulation layer of the dryer to improve the thermaleffect, and increase the body temperature of the kiln body.2) Increasing the size of the opening in the bottom of the burner to make use of the heatradiation to improve the temperature in the kiln dryer. Draw the structure of dryers bysolidworks and use solidworks flow simulation to simulate and analyze various options.Contrast the temperature contours of the various options, and select the optimal solution.3)Improve the framework of dryer, ensuring the framework to satisfy the installation ofall components, when some units in the dryer has been improved. And simulate and analyzethe structure by solidworks simulation to ensure the strength of the frame.4) Improved the connection of the drier skin by biting seam joins replacing the weldedjoins and increase corners in every boundary of the dryer, to avoid the dryer occurs openwelding and muster phenomenon after long-terming.5) Improve the way to install chain by internally installed replacing externally installedto reduce heat loss during the exercise of chain.The paper has improved designed the lead-acid battery plates dryer, improved the dryeroperating temperatures, improved the overall appearance of the dryer and improved theoverall performance of the dryer.
