The rural distribution network is at the end of entire power network, with respect to theurban power grid, there are larger gaps on power grid construction, power supply capacity andeconomic operation.In recent years, the industrial of the township has rapidly developed andpeople’s living standard has improved, the load of power network has quickly increased. Insome remote areas, the quality and reliability of power supply can’t satisfy the demands of thesociety. One of the origins of this problem is that rural distribution network’s planning anddesigning does not reach the standards. In the previous upgrading of rural power grids,planners simply calculated the arguments and checked them, or even expanded the grid onlybased on their experience.With the development of rural electrification, this capacityincreasing mode leads to the irrational structure of rural distribution network, and the shortageof the reactive power compensation, which cause more power loss and the voltage quality atthe terminal of distribution feeder is unqualified.Therefore, the research of the optimizationthat is scientific and reasonable in power supply capability, which is suitable for ruraldistribution feeder, has important theoretical significance and practical value.Through analyzing and summarizing the current programming method of distributionnetwork construction expansion and reactive power optimization method, this paper mainlyuses the graph algorithms to solve the problem about new users accessing to the distributiongrid, taking the minimum of the total construction costs as the target to determine the newbranch and select conductors of branch circuit; Then, optimizing the network reactive powerto determine power compensation point and compensation capacity. In order to make themaximize benefit when the device of reactive compensation put into operation, the methodthat determine the classification of capacity by using history information of reactive load hasbeen presented. Finally, this paper proposes a mathematical model of power supply capabilityoptimization for distribution feeder. It takes minimum of comprehensive cost as the objectivefunction to determine the scheme of optimizing load access point and compensate reactivepower. The correctness and the effectiveness of the optimization of power supply capabilityscheme proposed in this paper is verified by a real rural distribution feeder example.
