In this paper, the background is the space launch vehicle separation system. Forlong stroke separation system, we developed and designed new separation guidemechanism that composed of an elastic rod and ball. We studied the separation systemof one missile which used this guide mechanism. By analyzing the elastic rod multipleparameters influence on the separation process to obtain the optimal combination of theelastic guide mechanism parameters.Firstly, a new guide mechanism had been designed. Overcome the problems thatguide mechanism is easy to get stuck and the separation bodies impact each other. Thedesign use spring piece and pulley. It can reduce the interactions between the upper andlower levels of the separation process. This article designed the scheme of separation which including separationmechanism, guide mechanism, control system and the separation body collisiondetection. And then, simplified detached body as rigid body, Newton-Euler methodwas adopted to establish the calculation model, according to a set of given parameters, built separated6degrees of freedom simulation model in MATLAB SIMULINKmodule.A model of missiles as the research object, simulating the separation process thatwith elastic guiding mechanism, analyzing the influence rules for separation processfrom three guide mechanism elastic element: stiffness coefficient, installation height, preload. Selected the three best work parameters for integrated simulation and observedsimulation results. The results show that stiffness coefficient, installation, height, preload has greatinfluence on the separation process. Taking the minimum distance between two bodiesin the separation process as judgment standard, in the given parameter range, the biggerthe stiffness coefficient, the greater the separation distance, but the installation height ofthe upper guide mechanism and preload increases, has led to the separation distance firstincreases then decreases. Combining the three single factor optimization parameter andsimulate, the simulation results is better than that of single factor.
