As a basic factor of weapon system in national defense, missile developstoward to serialization, standardization and universalization continually. Missilesimulator and missile promote each other in their development. The current designof missile simulator is suitable for special type missile only, it has thedisadvantages of long development cycle, single function and it is difficult toupgrade and maintenance. In this paper, for the purpose of universalization, amissile simulator platform was designed to meet the needs of multiple models inmissile simulation. As a result, that enhanced the universal level of missilesimulation, achieved the calibration and self-recognition of complex test system,and provided better support capabilities for integrated test system.Based on systematic analysis about functional requirements of several missilesimulator, a summarized conclusion indicated that missile simulator platform can bedivided into load simulation, communications simulation, analog output simulation,input and output signals simulation, etc. Given all that, the whole scheme design isdemonstrated, detailed hardware design and software design of this system arecompleted.In hardware design, in order to meet the requirements of universal designment,network bus and LVDS bus were used in the system backplane which wasconstituted by distributed system. Hardware part was divided into embeddedcomputer modules and other functional modules formed by common part andfunctional part circuit. This structure can be convenient for the system developmentand promotion. Each module achieves mutual communication and remotecommunication through connecting CPCI backplane connectors. System hardwaredesign focuses on the backplane network bus, common control circuits, configurablecommunication module, and related technologies are also discussed.In software design, this thesis uses Labwindows/CVI integrated developmentenvironment as the software development platform. According to the hierarchy ofsoftware design, it can be divided into the application control layer and devicedriver layer. Application control layer realizes remote command receiving,configuration file loading, and software interface configuration. Device driver layerimplements the PCI equipment and network equipment operation, completedfunctional module configuration. The configuration file contains configuration formand configuration data, software can configure the whole system automaticallythrough matching the remote command.In the last part of the paper is the system debugging and verification, hardware and software debugging methods are introduced and test results are analyzed. Thetest results show that, the system can realize remote dynamic configuration, all testindexes meet the design requirements. The Design can meet the generalrequirements of missile simulator.
