More and more attention are put on the electric vehicles to meet the requirementsof energy saving and environmental protection. Compared to the energy consumptionand environmental pollution of the traditional internal combustion engine vehicles,electric vehicles can improve energy efficiency and reduce the pollutants emission.Power battery technology, drive motor technology and electronic control technologyhave become the keys to promote the electric vehicles development in the electricvehicle technologies. And power battery technology is the core technology whichrestricts the development of electric vehicles. The energy stored in the power batteryimpacts directly the driving range of electric vehicles and the power output capacity ofpower batteries impacts directly the power performance of electric vehicles. In thisthesis, the zinc-polyaniline battery used for electric vehicles is the main study object,and the battery characteristics of the zinc-polyaniline battery are tested. Also miniatureelectric vehicle used zinc-polyaniline batteries as power batteries is modeled in Advisorthen simulations are carried out to analyse the vehicle power performance and drivingrange.Firstly the basic principles and related performance parameters of zinc-polyanilinebattery are studied and analysed in this thesis. Zinc-polyaniline battery test programs areproposed combined with the electric vehilces requirements of the power battery. Andthe zinc-polyaniline battery energy characteristics, cycle life, safety and state of chargecharacteristics are the focuses of the study.Zinc-polyaniline batteries are produced based on the principles and processes ofthe zinc-polyaniline battery. Zinc-polyaniline battery steady characteristics are testedusing the Land battery test system, including battery voltage test, pergram capacity test,self-discharge rate test, open circuit voltage and impedance test, cycle life test and shortcircuit test and so on. And the dynamic current test is carried out to ensure thezinc-polyaniline battery can meet the requirement of the complex conditions of electricvehicles. The dynamic response characteristics of the zinc-polynaline battery areobtained and the possibility to improve the zinc-polyaniline battery performance isanalyzed.According to the national standard performance requirements of the electricvehicles, the power transmission system parameters of electric vehicle are matched,including the energy, power and voltage of the power supply system and the drive motorand so on. In the Advisor software, vehicle simulation model is created to analyse thevehicle power performance and driving range. The battery model is based on the testresults. The simulation results show that the zinc-polyaniline battery can effectively ensure vehicle’s power performance and driving range. And the suggestions to use thepower battery advantageous characteristics efficiently are put forward.
