For the occurrence of crash in the building structure of the tragedy in "911event",the scholars pay more attention to the research of structure resistance under impact loadin recent years. Because of the public and the importance of large-span space structure,it will cause huge and incalculable loss when suffer from all kinds of impact load. Theresearch on resistant performance of long-span space structure under impact appearsvery necessary. The research on resistance of reticulated domes under impact load ismainly by theoretical method and numerical analysis. Few impact tests have beencarried out for the limit of various test conditions. On the basis of existing researchresults, this paper will conduct the more in-depth research on impact test of reticulateddomes. Considering the beneficial effects of roof panel to reticulated dome underimpact load is necessary. This paper designs one reticulated dome model without a roofplate and another one model with roof plate which carry on the impact test. This paperwill discuss practical effects of roof plate under impact load through test. Then establisha numerical analysis model of reticulated dome under impact load, and compare withtest results, which proved the accuracy of numerical analysis model of reticulated dome.All of works will lay the foundation of future research on resistance of reticulated domewith roof plate under impact.The research content of this article mainly contains the following several aspects:1. Design test models and a reasonable test scheme,manufacturer modelsThe appropriate scale model of reticulated dome is designed and made according toexisting condition. One of models is with roof plate, another is without roof plate. Tostudy the effect of roof plate effect for shock resistance, a reasonable impact test planwhich contain natural frequency of vibration testing, destructive and elastic impact testwas designed.2. Conduct impact test of two models of reticulated dome, to consider the effects ofroof plate on reticulated dome under impact load.According to the results of impact test on reticulated dome models which is withroof board and without a roof board, roof plate are analysed to the improvement of netshell stiffness, reducing net shell in elastic bar under impact stress response, and canchange in the destructive impact of the failure mode of net shell. 3. Establish a numerical analysis model of reticulated dome under impact load, tocompare with the test results and verify the correctness of the numerical model.Refinement numerical model was established by ANSYS/LS-DYNA, net shellshock respectively have done on the numerical simulation results and comparisonbetween the experimental results proved that the numerical simulation of the establishedwith roof plate models, and without the correctness of the roof plate model, and verifiedthe applied roofing board for reticulated shell under impact load and the existence ofbeneficial effects of roof plate.
