Pneumatic conveying technology, with its unique advantages is widely used inmodern industrial production. But with the continuous development of transmissiontechnology, the tested value of the device need to be in control and is becoming moreand more complex, in order to ensure conveying system has a good effect, it needcorresponding measurement and control, so the place of the measurement andcontrol system in the pneumatic conveying device is also rising.In dilute phase pneumatic conveying experiment device as the research object,on the basis of detailed analysis of working principle of the conveying device,combined with the actual working process, design a set of multifunctionmeasurement and control system based on LabVIEW. On the basis ofcommunication between system and control actuators, system has simulation,control algorithm, data display, real time response curve display, video monitoringand other functions. This paper has included the major contents as follow:1. Introduce the development of pneumatic conveying technology and its controlsystem, emphatically on the traditional control mode and the development direction,point out the advantages and prospect application of virtual instrument.2. Illustrate the design of important parameters in system and selection of keyequipments, complete the program of PLC, provide support for communicationbetween hardware and software. Propose the acquisition method of key parameterand control mode.3. Elaborate the shortcoming of PID control algorithm, design fuzzy PIDself-tunning algorithm on LabVIEW, and simulate different algorithms byMATLAB/Simulink.4. In order to achieve data transmission between system and hardware, the designuse data recording and monitoring module to access to OPC server, and realize thecommunication between software and hardware. Measurement and control based onvirtual instrument has simulation, control algorithm, data display, real time responsecurve display and other functions. According to the complexity of the transport system at the same time, design the function of video monitoring, through thecontrol interface to achieve a simple image processing.
