The internal flow of multi-stages axial compressor have regicide pressure gradientcharacteristics, especially the inter-stage matching features make the development of themulti-stage axial compressor design is very difficult. Depth development of Axial Compressortheoretical basic research and applied research and to master the design and optimization of axialflow compressor, has a very important role to improve the compressor design level and promotethe development of high-performance compressor design. In addition, the design process ofmulti-stage axial compressor needs a repeatedly modify and a repeated design process, carry outresearch of the method and theory of compressor optimization design become a research topic,which have very engineering value.In this paper, we developed a method to complete the calculation of compressor performanceand to complete the optimization design of compressor, which base on two-dimensional analysis.Based on a lot of experimental data of the compressor design, the calculation method oftwo-dimensional could get accurate results. In this paper, we combine the method oftwo-dimensional calculation of the compressor and multi-objective genetic optimization algorithmto form a method of two-dimensional performance analysis and optimization design method.In order to prove the practicality and reliability of the optimization design method, this paper,first of all, completed the optimization design of a multi-stage axial compressor, whose flow rateis large amount. Then, in order to contrast the performance between the original design and Newdesign that through optimization, we took two method to analysis, one is two-dimensionalcalculate method and another method is three-dimensional method of CFD. At last the reliabilityof optimization results is been proved. To further demonstrate the practical value and reliability ofthe optimization method, this paper completed another optimization design of a multi-stage axialcompressor, in this instance, all of the prove and analysis are completed by three-dimensionalmethod of CFD. At last, we have proved the two-dimensional analysis and optimization designmethod has higher accuracy and reliability, and a high value in engineering is also been proved inthis paper.
