Electromagnetic actuator is a kind of actuator for active vibration control using electro-magneticforce, which has been widely researched and used due to its advantages such as no friction, doesn’tneed lubrication and long service life. This paper mainly aimed at active vibration control of flexiblestructrue which taking canlilever as an example.Electromagnetic actuator structure was designed based on the principle of magnetic circuit.During the process of design, the Pole material, pole arrangement, static stiffness of actuator, gapsbetween pole and cantilever beam, bias current, the position of sensor installed was mainly taken intoaccount as influence of the performance of test bench.Electromechanical integration system was established and analysised by Co-Simulation usingADAMS,MATLAB and PATRAN software. The reponse of the endpoint displacement of cantileverbeam, control electricity and electromagnetic force was simuliated during process of cantilever beamfloating, sinusoidal interference and Impact interference which in contrasted with the un-controlledsituation has greatly decreased the vibration.During the process of Co-simulation,mechanical model was exist boundary error due tomodeling simplification. Based on the cantilever beam modal parameter identification, using responsesurface method to modify the finite element model and the current Translational stiffness androtational stiffness of the clamped end cantilever beam was obtained.Experimental results are obtained by means of force hammer impact, vibration generator sineexcitation and interference current on test bench. The simulation and experimental results both showthat by using electromagnetic actuator to be actuators for flexible structure could receive veryefficient control results; The test bench designed and manufactured in this paper is successful and theco-simulation method used for this problem is effctive.
