Protecting ecological environment and walking the road of sustainable development inthe21’st century is the theme that our human should face together. To Protect ecologicalenvironment and to construction a healthy, safe, ecological, livable architecture, not only isthe development direction and goal of a new type of construction, but also is positiveresponse to the "ecological civilization construction" the18thparty puts forward to. Thedevelopment of ecological architecture is a kind of trend. At present, there are manyresearches of the ecological architecture. Different directions give different thoughts. Thispaper intends to study from the perspective of the whole life-cycle costs and benefits of theecological construction; on the one hand, it can give clear interpretation of the ecologicalarchitecture, On the other hand, study of the costs and benefits helps to form the new cost andbenefit, and to provides a new train of thought for the sustained and healthy development ofthe ecological architecture. After the investigation and the analysis of the ecological architecture, firstly, through thethe overall systemic analysis, the basic connotation of ecological construction can be clearlydefined by detailedly summarizing. Secondly, guided by the whole life-cycle thinking, thewhole life-cycle cost of the ecological buildings can be analyzed and evaluated detailedly, andthe analysis model can be built out. Thirdly, through the basis of the systematic thought, thewhole life-cycle benefit of the ecological buildings can be analyzed, and gives the analysismodel. Then through the analytic hierarchy process, the weight of three benefits can becalculated, and the relative value of whole life cycle benefits can be given too. After that, itcan be concluded that the ecological architecture pays more attention to ecological benefits and social benefits in ensuring economic benefit under. Finally, through the empirical analysis, using the value engineering theory, a comparative analysis of the relative value of thecomprehensive costs and benefits between s and common buildings can be in the cost andbenefit can be made. It can be seen that the ecological building is better than the ordinarybuilding.Through analysis and research, it can be known that cost of ecological architecture ishigher than the ordinary building, but the relative value of the comprehensive costs andbenefits is far higher than the ordinary buildings. So it is worth to invest the ecologicalbuildings. Meanwhile, it should put forward to balance the cost and benefit in the process ofthe sustainable development of the ecological architecture, to have a holistic view, reasonableinvestment, to optimize the management, and to maximize the full life-cycle of benefit at thelowest total life-cycle cost, which can be true to nature, human and society, so as to improvethe living environment, and realize the sustainable development of economy.
