| Commercial Pedestrian Street has already turned into the significant node of theurban areas as it plays the role of the extension from the external space to the interiorspace, it is also been served as the transition, intermediary and integration pointbetween the urban space and the Commercial Street counterpart. Our cities witness arapidly development nowadays, due to the gather of city central population and theenlargement of commercial scale, the function and size of the entrance space cannotmeet the growing needs of dwellers. Therefore, the design of the systematicness, timeliness and development of the entrance space become the key factors to beconsidered in the modern Commercial Pedestrian Street. This article intent to make the human’s demand as the starting point, all thefunctions of the entrance space are determined according to the needs of the public. Itis reflected from two aspects: one is people raise a basic claim to the entrance spacedue to their own demands, such as the requirements of access, cognition and comfort;the other is the entrance space gives a feedback expression according to the needs ofthe people. This article focuses on theoretical research, instance analysis andcomparative evaluation from three levels: the spatial form, the crowed guide and thevisual scale of the entrance space, thereby providing a appropriate design procedureand optimization recommendation. This thesis launches from the following four levels. To begin with, we shouldraise a question. Defining the relevant concepts and the scope of the study, with thedemonstration of the fundamental function, basic characteristics and elaborateelements of commercial pedestrian street entrance space, combined with the relevant theoretical research and field research, finally, we can conclude the current problems ofcommercial pedestrian street entrance space in our country. The second level is toanalyze the issues, making the theoretical studies and functional requirements as afoundation, the spatial form, crowed guide and spatial scale will be used to analyze andresearch the entrance space from multiple levels. From what we can figure out themain factors which impact the commercial pedestrian street entrance space. The thirdlevel is the instances comparative analysis, this essay selects ten entrances of fivecommercial pedestrian streets from different cities, years and styles as the researchobjects. The problems can be analyzed through three levels: the spatial form, thecrowed guide and the space scale, and we can assess the entrances via the comparativestudies. The finally level is problem solving, through the above theoretical studies andexamples of comparative analysis, starting from human behaviors and psychologicalneeds, it can sum up the design philosophy of entrance space and conclude the relevantdesign approach as well as the composite mode of the optimized space from multiplelevels, in the end, through the research of this thesis, several suggestions about thedevelopment trend of the future commercial pedestrian street design will be putforward. This article is discussed from above four levels, striving to treat the integrity oftheoretical knowledge and the objectivity of case study as a basis, make human’srequirements as the core, thereby offering the objective, systematic and timely designmethods, which can provide a theoretical guidance and design basis for the futurecommercial pedestrian street entrance space. |
