The damage of Earthquake is serious, always bring the house down, even the safetyof people’s lives and the property, so the seismic performance of buildings is veryimportant. Though cast-in-situ concrete structure displays good on seismic performance, however, it exists problems inevitably such as the period of construction is a long time, the environment of construction is terrible, the quality of engineering be influenced byenvironmental conditions easily, the component of assembled monolithic concretestructure produced by the industrialized mode offsets it properly, but the traditionalconnecting format is severely limited in seismic fortification intensity area for its poorseismic resistance capacity. Therefore a new connection format of assembled monolithicconcrete structure which get rebar mechanical splicing and grouting connection together–grouting sleeve and mechanical connection was invented. The principle of thisconnection is assembling segmental columns by grouting and mechanical connectionbetween sleeve and rebar., increasing the ultimate strain of the core concrete byhigh-strength spiral stirrups, confining concrete by steel plate hoop for avoiding thedamage of joint.2columns with this new kind connection and2cast-in situ concrete columns weredesigned for researching the capacity and the seismic performance of this connection typefirstly, coMPare and analysis the form of damage, hysteretic curve, ductility and energydissipation by low cyclic loading test. The experiment result indicates: grouting sleeveand mechanical connection can pass load effectively that is a reliable connecting format; it has a smaller damage zone under the same load and it has a appropriate capacity, ductility and seismic performance as cast-in-situ concrete column, so it can be used in aproject instead of cast-in-situ concrete column in certain cases. High-strength spiralstirrups makes the damage zone of column smaller by the constraints for the core concrete,it can be used sufficiently under high axial load. Steel plate hoop wasn’t yield under highaxial load. Then the damaged plasticity model for concrete was applied for nonlinearanalysis on specimens based on software ABAQUS. The simulation results coincide withexperiment date that illustrates numerical simulation is a effective, speedily, low-costresearch method. Besides, it also analysis the influence of the axial load ratio and steelplate hoop for the capacity and the seismic performance of this kind connection.
