| With the development of the national economy and increasing pressure on urbantraffic, the subway, as a large public transport system, gradually enters the major cities.The construction of the subway promotes the penetration and circulation of urbanunderground space, and it can form a complete and efficient space systems. How tointegrate this space system into the urban environment to create high-quality publicspace for the public becomes the focus of the designation. Besides, as the gateway spaceof the underground transportation system, the entrance of the subway entrance plays akey role on the integration of the urban ground and underground space environment.Therefore, the research to the entrance of the subway is particularly important.In early times of Xi’an subway construction, most of the concerns focus on culturalrelic’s protection, route planning and construction technology. Architects are oftenlimited to the function itself or just consider the aesthetics of architectural forms,ignoring the overall shape of the space environment and overall promotion of the spatialimage. This thesis starts with this point of view, and makes the art form as thebreakthrough point of the entrance space design, and it emphasis on two aspects: theoverall spatial quality of the place (not just the building itself) and "aesthetic" principalpsychological experience. By the means of environmental behavior science, aesthetictheory of psychological distance, detail investigations and studies on the entrance of thesecond line of the subway have been in progress and completed, and then theoptimization strategies and methods of entrance have been raised. In addition, it is alsoan attempt to provide effective information for the future designation of Xi’an subwayentrance. The thesis mainly consists of four aspects. The first aspect, namely Chapter1, is topropose questions, explore the value of the research, and review and summarize therelated theories and the research methodology of the issue. After realizing thetheoretical significance and the research important points of the issue, the authorillustrates the overall framework; the second aspect, namely from Chapter2to Chapter3, is the analysis of issues, including the analysis of the elements which affect the artform of the subway entrance, and the domestic and foreign developing process andpractical experience outside the subway entrance (to summarize the experience gainedfrom the research in Beijing, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Shenzhen). Through the two big parts,the creative relationship of the cause and the consequence of the entrance art form canbe understood thoroughly, and the changes of the designing opinion and the reason andthe method of enjoying and manipulating import and export architectural forms arediscussed, and then the further development and evolution of the deep structure areexplored; the third aspect, namely Chapter4, is about the solution to the problem. Witha detailed investigation and analysis of the current situation of Xi’an subway entrance(including detailed analysis of the place, the observation of the human behavior, and theinterpretation of architectural form and so on), the author summarizes feasible practiceof the re-shaping of the artistic character of the entrance spatial environment, proposesoptimization strategies, raises the feasible suggestions to the shortages during theresearch process; the fourth aspect, namely Chapter5, is the methodology. The authorproposes the artistic form designing method of the entrance to the urban environment,area environment and the construction of the entrance. Moreover, the author alsoprovides some conceptual references, and then proposes further suggestions of theconstruction of the Xi’an subway entrance.Through those four aspects, the whole thesis complies with the research patternwhich consists of global control, detailed observation of and feasible measures, trying toshow the design method on the artistic forms of subway entrance. |
