The areas without electricity far are away from the power grid, their load are smalland scatter, and it is not economic for existing power grid to extend to there. These areasusually use diesel to generate power for there daily electricity consumption, but with therising prices of diesel, the cost of diesel power generation are also increasing. As theseareas are rich in wind resources, so using the wind/diesel/energy storage power generationsystem to supply power to the load is a feasible method to solve the electricity problem ofthese areas. In order to maximize the utilization of wind energy, reduce fuel consumptionand improve the stability of power supply, it is need to coordinate control the componentpower flow of wind/diesel/storage power system,so that the system is operated inreasonable and orderly.Based on the idea of energy management integrated control,the paper put forward aintegrated control method contains the maximum power point tracking control, load powertracking control and battery charging and discharging control to study the coordinatedcontrol strategy of the wind/diesel/storage power system.By comparing severals small power generator operating characteristics, permanentmagnet synchronous generator as the generator of the wind power generation system. Byanalying the existing topology, the simple structure of the wind/diesel/storage powersystem is performed for realize the power control,which consists of wind turbine,dieselengine,permanent magnet synchronous generator,diode rectifier bridge,buck convert, batt-ery,controller and loads.By analyzing the relationship among wind power, load power,diesel engine starting power and maximum power for the battery under different operatingconditions, the coordinated control strategy which contains maximum power trackingcontrol, load power tracking control and battery charging and discharging control wereproposed.Comparison several wind turbine MPPT control methods and the battery chargeand discharge control methods, selecting perturbation method and improved three-stagecharging method to realize their control respectively. Load power tracking control realizedby PI control.Establishing simulation model in Matlab/Simulink simulation platform, simulatingand analysis the power tracking control and coordinated control of wind/diesel/storage power system. The simulation results show that the coordinated control strategy proposedin this pap-er can effectively coordinate the system running state, maintain power balance,and chieve its reliable power supply and optimial operation. Therefore, it verified the rationality and feasibility of coordinated control strategy presented in this paper.
