With the development of global economic integration, the trend of globalmanufacturing industry is becoming more and more significant. In order to adapt to theincreasingly fierce market competition, and rapidly meet the personalized demands ofcustomer, make product development cycle shorter and shorter, complex degree ofproduct design higher and higher. The traditional product design methods can’t meetthe development needs of modern products anymore. The trends in the product designhave been moving toward networking, globalization and virtualization. Therefore,Computer Supported Collaborative Design (CSCD) becomes a research focus ofproduct design in recent years. However, with the deepening of the research, theefficient sharing and service of design resource based on internet have become acrucial issue, which need to resolve urgently. At the same time, the emergence ofcloud manufacturing service model has provided some new thoughts and methods forproduct collaborative design.As a new manufacturing mode, cloud manufacturing is based on the concept of“manufacturing as a service”, and developed from the idea of cloud computing, whichpurposed to gather kinds of manufacturing resource, and found a huge resource--“clouds” pool at the assistance of virtualization. In this way, the efficient sharing andutilization of design resources can be realized, and it also provides users with on-demand manufacturing services.This paper mainly studied some key technologies of product collaborative designsystem based on cloud manufacturing services. Firstly, after the research of cloudcomputing and cloud manufacturing mode, and combine with characteristics ofproduct collaborative design, this paper found a product collaborative design systemstructure of cloud manufacturing service. At the same time, the key technologies werediscussed as well. Secondly, after the study of service encapsulation technology of clouds manufacturing resource, this paper proposed an encapsulation method aboutcloud manufacturing resource based on Web service. Meanwhile, an encapsulationprocessing has been shown, which are verified by an example. After that,the accesscontrol of product collaborative design system, which is based on cloud manufacturingservice, has been studied. According to the research of traditional access controlmodels, role-based access control model and task-based access control model,thispaper put forward an mixed access control model—CMT-RBAC. At the same time,the operation framework and implementation method of the model have been given aswell. At last, the paper developed a prototype system of product collaborative designof clouds manufacturing service, realized the efficient utilization of simulationresources, shorted the product development cycle and improved the product marketcompetitiveness effectively.
