With the development of modern technology, people have a higher demand ofhydraulic technology. A master of the control technology of micro flow withsuccession and no fluctuation, would play a crucial role in the precision positioningand no vibration and crawling in the process of micro feed of the hydraulic actuatingmechanism. The application of new functional materials—Giant Magnetostrictivematerial in the flow valve based on Giant Magnetostrictive Actuator, has importanttheoretical and practical significance in precise control of flow and rapid response.This article which takes the flow valve based on Giant Magnetostrictive Actuatoras the research object, introduced the basic characteristics of Giant MagnetostrictiveMaterial firstly, then in order to develop the prototype of the flow valve, designed thepre-pressure mechanism of the Giant Magnetostrictive Actuator, the constanttemperature water cooling system, magnetic circuit system and the valve body of theflow valve according to the characteristics of Giant Magnetostrictive Material, andestablished the dynamic model and the magnetic hysteresis model. Through theinversion of the magnetic hysteresis model, this article explored the sliding-modecontrol strategy based on inverse Preiasch model, and laid a foundation for the precisecontrol of the flow valve. Then through the introduction of the experiment platformand the components and the analysis of the measurement method of each parameter,this article prepared for the characteristic experiment of the flow valve. Finally, thisarticle made some experiments such as the experiment of the relationship between theoutput displacement and the pre-pressure, the experiment of characteristics oftemperature and the experiment of the repetitive positioning accuracy and so on, for agood preparation for the application of the flow valve.So the research of the flow valve based Giant Magnetostrictive Actuatorcontributed to the precise control of the flow valve at the micron level and the precisecontrol of the flow, thus laying a solid foundation for the application of the valve in the field such as precise digital cylinder, micro-electronic fabrication, bioengineering,so as to make contribution to higher productivity and lower cost.
