As an important part of the bridge health monitoring,the optimal placement of the sensor has been widely attentions by people.And the study and discussion about the optimal placement of the sensor have never been stopped, but now there are not any ways thant can perfectly achieve the purpose of optimal sensor arrangement.There are some shortcomings more or less in the existing methods.If no accurate test data,how we can make an accurate evaluation for the structure.In this paper,it is as the object of study that the optimization of sensors arrangement in the bridge structural health monitoring,and some work has been proceeded in the following article.First, it’s proposed based on effective independence-the sensitivity coefficient of sensor optimization method, the feasibility of this method is proved theoretically. Compared with the previous traditional optimization methods, the sensor output increased damage sensitivity coefficient in the equation, the optimal information contains the result of the injury, is a kind of considering the dynamic changes of sensor optimization process, the use of this method is more close to the actual bridge structure state, and more sensitive to bridge structure damage identification. Found through examples, the optimal placement of the method in the theory of the sensor measurement points for comprehensive damage information, and keep the structure of the orthogonality of the vibration mode, to evaluate the actual use function and safety of the structure to provide accurate information.Second, this page given based on measured modal number selection method, the method proposed in the modal number of optimal placement of the sensor selection, through the measurement modal vector between the "degree" to inspect each order vibration mode, the selection of modal numerical value, compared with the past pure modal number selection based on the experience to be more objective and intuitive.Last, application MATLAB software programming calculation, and on a railway truss bridge health monitoring of optimal placement of the sensor, the results, sensitivity coefficient and effective independence method of optimal placement method and other methods, comparing the optimization results and using the optimization evaluation criteria to evaluate three kinds of layout plan. Results show that the proposed algorithm of optimal placement of the sensors in maintain the orthogonality of the modal vector, or in the prediction of unknown points is obviously superior to other methods, and the theory of the method is reasonable, convenient and feasible, has certain practical application value.
