With the rapid development of high-grade highways in Jilin Province, a reasonablepavement reconstruction program is very important to the old road renovation of high-gradehighways. Relying on the existing HuiWu highway, the paper detailed investigated thestructure, thickness, strength, disease of old road, and comprehensive evaluated the pavementconditions, and analyzed the reasonable reconstruction program of pavement.Road surface detection mainly includes pavement damage status,rut on road surface,smoothness,anti-slide performance,pavement deflection and observation of old pavementthought core sample. The pavement condition evaluation shows that the overall usage of thisroad is not bad, the PQI optimal ratio of excellence is70.56%. The main early disease istransverse cracking, the depth of most ruts concentrated in about5mm, and a small number ofsections appeared the disease of longitudinal cracks and depressions. Pavement structureupgraded achieved by repaving asphalt layer on the basis of disease treatment on originalpavement surface.By calculation and analysis, this paper proposed using maintenance programs accordingto indicators on critical point, this will reflect pavement performance degradation extent moreobjectively. Based on broken pavement condition, maintenance programs was used as follows:for the road sections of integrity intensity decreasing, this paper used repairing schemes fornon-structural defects, depending on the fracture types and other small-scale damages. Beingaimed at structural defects of mechanical properties reducing, the repairing scheme forstructural defects was used to adapt to the needs of the traffic, combined with large andmedium repairing project.
