Masonry-infilled RC frame is widely used in building structure nowadays, the in-filledwall which known as nonstructural component, due to its layout and easily to divide theindoor space, especially the serious damage of the infilled frame in the earthquakes, makethe topics which talk about the influence of filled walls on RC frame’s seismic performancebecome the research hotspot.It briefly introduced the research situation about infilled walls at home and abroad,analyzed the influence of infilled walls on force transmission mechanism and energyconsumption, to explore the stiffness effect and constraint effect of infilled walls on theframe in this paper, and thus, we can knew that the relevant specification of filled wallswhich just consider their effect on cycle reduction is too simple and rough. According to theinteraction between filled walls and frame, addition to several stages of structure’sdestruction, build several simplified calculation models of the filled wall, summarized thefailure mode of the wall and the frame.The article use the SAP2000software’s Push-over program to analyze the building ofXi’an Taihua production for the seismic performance analysis and evaluation.A differentlongitudinal, transverse plane frame model is established according to the features ofinfilled wall, and taking the equivalent diagonal strut to consider the effect of filling wall.To study and compare each model’s base shear and vertex displacement, interstory drift andplastic hinge distribution, show that compared with the pure frame, seismic performance ofinfilled frame significantly improved, not only the structure of the elastic lateral stiffnessand elastic-plastic load-carrying capacity significantly to improve, but the plasticdeformation capacity also increased. In addition, the related suggestions on infill wall frameof the arrangement is put forward, namely the wall should uniformly and symmetricallyarranged as far as possible in the plane and vertical, avoid to set up large hole, otherwise itwill adversely affect the seismic performance of the main frame.
