This article is based on the needs for long-term monitoring for cable-stayed bridge’scable force. For the phenomenon that damper would cause the inaccuracy of cable force value,the author based on frequency method and learned from the existed analytical method and theRitz method theory, applied direct analytic, conversion stiffness, equivalent length and Ritzmethod four ideas to deduce the cable force formula which took consideration of shockabsorber. At last, the author put forward a proposal to calculate the cable force of Dan’shancable-stayed bridge based on the effects of shock absorbers, and draw a conclusion about thepremise of equivalent length method and Ritz method. The main contents are as follows:1. Based on the needs of establishing a reasonable cable model, the author studied thestatics linear and free vibration theory of cable and drew on the damping principle of shockabsorber. With the analysis of various factors which would have effect on the relationshipbetween frequency and cable force and the influences’ degree to the calculation value. Thewriter get a good knowledge of the way to set up a reasonable calculation model and simplifythe differential equation.2. The author drew on the existed analytical method and the Ritz method theory andbased on the mechanical characteristics of the shock absorber-cable system, applied directanalytic, conversion stiffness, equivalent length and Ritz method four ideas to deduce thecable force formula. In this way, the writer put forward two cable force formula which arebased on equivalent length and Ritz method and perfect the cable calculation method withinthe consideration of damper’s influence. By comparing the solving process of the uppermentioned manners, the author summed up the merits and drawbacks of those differentmethods.3. According to the analysis results of the merits and drawbacks of different calculationmethod, the writer finally applied equivalent length method and Ritz method into an actualbridge to calculate the cable force within the consideration the shock absorber impact.Through the values’ differences between those two methods, the author put forward a proposalto calculate the cable force of Dan’shan cable-stayed bridge and draw a conclusion about thepremise of equivalent length method and Ritz method.
