Interchange as the connection between road and vehicle conversion nodes, has become aportal of road traffic. As local area network at present, the gradually perfect, it gradually asthe interoperable three-dimensional cross of traffic node also difficult to meet because of therapid economic development and rapid rise in traffic conversion needs. Because now the roadneed to increase the driveway, or because of the need to upgrade the original cross road andso on must be the original interchange reconstruction. And our country for its reconstructionengineering design there is no a set of independent, complete interchange design specification,the many still exist after the reconstruction and interchange irrationality. Type hubinterchanges as the highest node in the network system, and responsible for arterial highwaytraffic flow conversion between important function. Thus type of hub interchangereconstruction programme of study is very necessary, and it is urgent.At home and abroad are summarized in this paper, analysis reconstruction projectinterchange hub type design, geometric design and connection design in three aspects, findout the deficiency of the existing technology. Based on technical standards of highway designspecification of, combined with domestic and foreign relevant references opposite hand inreconstruction programme design, the flat, the longitudinal linear design and connectiondesign has carried on the deep research, to the division of the system overall plan design, thegeneral scheme according to different division modification purpose to improve thereconstruction and expansion capacity plan and improve the safety performance; According tointerchange type change or not in situ reconstruction and in-situ expansion is divided into twokinds. The design key points of put forward different proposals, the hub type interchangereconstruction provides a theory according to the engineering design.Through the driver’s psychological aspects, based on the principle of safety first, sum upthe hub gateway setting interchange points. Combined with the variable speed drive vehiclerunning state analysis, is put forward according to the actual running speed change associated to the size of the length of speed change lane suggested value. According to characteristics ofhub interchange, of auxiliary lane and interchange bifurcation, confluence design points aresummarized. Finally, taking an example of practical engineering design of hub exchangeconnection detail design points are analyzed in detail.
