The air suspension as a new type of suspension system can obviously improve thevehicle handing stability, ride performance and safety, and it has become increasingly used.However, domestic research of air suspension about its performance and vehicle matchingis little, also research capacity of manufacturers is week, so carrying out mechanicalproperties and vehicle matching of air suspension has important practical significance toimprove domestic research level of air suspension.After reading literature and extensive research, the paper using multi-body dynamicsdiscusses vehicle performance matching method with air suspension based on bus with airsuspension. This paper builds whole vehicle model with front suspension system, rearsuspension system, air spring, shock absorber, stabilizer bar, steering system, tire usingmulti-body dynamics software HyperWorks/MotionView. The paper builds two kind ofwhole vehicle model with different installation of leveling valve. Through steady statecircular test and steering transient response test, comparing the controllability and stabilityof two programs, the results show that the program two is better than the program one. Itcan provide basis for arranging style of leveling valve of bus. Analyzing four extremeconditions of air spring bearing force peak so that the results can provide the basis of DOEanalysis of the hard point of front suspension and rear suspension guide rods usingHyperWorks/HyperStudy. It can provide theoretical basis and reference for designing ofguide rods of bus.
