In this paper,a special vehicle whose suspension system needs to be designed is the object of the research.Considering the special use of the special vehicles,it is necessary to select the appropriate type of suspension.And the design of the suspension needs simulation analysis to verify whether the design meets the requirements.Firstly,taking into account the particularity of the vehicle and the different types of suspension,the double wishbone independent suspension was selected as the target design form.The design method and design process of double wishbone front suspension are introduced in detail.The hard point coordinate of the main guide mechanism of the suspension is calculated.According to the modeling parameters of the suspension,a double-wishbone front suspension model is established in ADAMS/Car.The kinematic characteristics of the front suspension are analyzed,and the wheel alignment parameters are evaluated and analyzed through two-wheel synchronous parallel bounce simulation.The positioning parameters which does not meet the design requirements in the suspension kinematics analysis need to be optimized.Using the sensitivity analysis method and ADAMS/Insight to find out the key hard-point coordinates that affect the target's parameters.The response surface model is used to optimize the key hard-point coordinates,and the target parameters compared with the former one after optimization.Established in each subsystem model vehicle ADAMS/Car and ultimately assembled into the vehicle model.The vehicle handling stability test and ride comfort analysis simulations are done according to the national test methods and evaluation criteria.Comparing of the evaluation criteria,the simulation results of the vehicle steering stability and ride comfort performance are evaluated.
