Line-heating processing is one of the most important technologies in ship plateprocessing. It includes welding, thermal cutting, line-heating forming and line-heatingcorrection, etc. With the development and progress of shipbuilding technology, theresearch of the automated line-heating processing is getting more and more attention. Inorder to realize line-heating processing automation of the ship plate, it’s important toresearch the effect of the parameters on line-heating processing by numerical simulation.Line-heating processing is a kind of complicated heating and cooling process, and themechanical mechanism of different processing technology is similar but the heatingtemperature is different. The temperature of welding and thermal cutting is higher, but thetemperature of line heating forming and correction is relatively low. So the Line-heatingprocessing of ship steel plate can be researched by using similar numerical simulationmethod. Based on the above reasons, the welding and line-heating forming is selected asthe research object, and the research on numerical simulation and parameter influence ofline-heating processing is carried out.First, the numerical simulation method of ship steel line-heating processing isresearched.The temperature field and stress strain field results of the typical welded jointand influence of the mesh size and partition way on the calculation precision ofline-heating forming are analyzed by numerical simulation method.Then, the experiments on the typical welded joint are conducted. The temperaturefield during the process of welding, the degree of welding shrinkage distortion and angulardistortion and the distribution of welding residual stress are measured. The validity andaccuracy of the numerical simulation method are testified by comparing the results ofcalculation with the test data.Afterwards, the influence of boundary conditions on welding residual stress isanalyzed by using the above numerical simulation method. The results indicate that constraint locations and surface convection conditions have an impact on residual stress toa certain extent and structure restraint modes have a large impact.Finally, the parameters of line heating forming such as heat source parameters, andresidual stress are described and the influence of the above parameters on plastic strain ofline heating forming is analyzed, making it possible for further study of line heatingforming automation.
