| The strength and stability of typical steel I-core sandwich deck panel structure and steelcorrugated-core sandwich deck panel structure, as well as the influence of panel parameters uponstructural strength and stability, are presented in this paper.A sub-model method for strength analysis of laser-weld steel sandwich deck panel structure basedon FEM software ANSYS is also presented in the report. Strength analysis of shell element model andvolume element sub-model are carried out respectively, considering defects of weld seams duringlaser welding. Validation of sub-model method is conducted by comparing results of the abovemodel with an entire volume element model, including the stress distribution and values of theconjunction area of core and cover plates, as well as the central area of cover plates.Comparative analysis is conducted by using shell element model and volume element modelrespectively for nonlinear stability(ultimate strength) analysis of I-core sandwich deck panel underaxial pressure, based on nonlinear quasi-static method of FEM software LS-DYNA, in which defectsof weld seams during laser welding is considered for volume element model. Failure forms andprocess of main components in sandwich deck panel are obtained, and valid calculation model isproposed for nonlinear stability(ultimate strength) analysis of sandwich deck panel structure.A method for determining initial design parameters of steel I-core sandwich deck panel and steelcorrugated-core sandwich deck panel is proposed in this paper. An optimization mathematical modelof deck panel structure is established, taking into consideration of strength and stiffness requirements.Shell element is used for simulation of panel structure regardless of details of weld seams during laserwelding, and constraint coefficients of stress and displacement is obtained according to stiffened platestructure as reference. The optimal design parameters are adopted for initial design scheme of deckpanel structure. Then the sub-model method and the nonlinear quasi-static method are adopted forthorough strength properties analysis and nonlinear stability(ultimate strength) of the above steelI-core and corrugated-core sandwich deck panel structures. |
