The dynamic performance of Six-DOF platform is the most important qualificationamong the rest. Based on a6-DOF flight simulator driven by electricity, the study of theoptimization for controlling parameters of the AC servo drivers is carried out,aiming toimproving the performances of the platform in stabilization and frequency response.Upon the analysis of the dynamic characteristics of the simulator system, the drivecurrent of the motor is chosen as the study object, with its minimum fluctuation as theoptimal objective function. Learning from experiments, the platform’s performances instabilization and frequency response are effected by4controlling parameters, which areconsidered as design variables And the frequency response characters of the platform areacted as constraint condition, according to Chinese Military Standard about the requirementfor6-DOF flight simulator.In this way the optimization model of controlling parameters ofAC servo motor was proposed.By the comparison of various optimization methods, the genetic algorithm is chosen inthis paper, in consideration of the characteristics of the optimization model. And then the keytechnology of genetic algorithm,such as encoding、genetic manipulation、the choice of theoperation parameters, is discussed. Afterwards the genetic algorithm is realized online withprograms.In the end, based on the characteristics of the research object, the selection operator ofthe genetic algorithm,by which the controlling parameters are optimized,is improved. Theexperiment result shows that the improved genetic algorithm is fitted for the system of thecontrolling parameter optimization, and the contradiction between rapidity and stability ofthe platform system is solved well, which makes the system with a better dynamicperformance.
