The continuum structure topology optimization techniques is the crucial technology inproduct designing, which finds the optimal material density distribution under the determinedloads and constraints, so that the layout of the whole structure could be more scientific,reasonable. Because the results of the current structure topology optimization approach havepoor manufacturability, the topology optimization techniques only can be a supportingapproach for conceptual design. How to efficiently bridge the distance between conceptdesign and the actual manufacturing and increase the manufacturability of results is the key torealize topology optimization methods for manufacturing. This paper analyzed the researchstatus in the field of topology optimization, and studied the model building, optimizationsolving algorithms of topology optimization methods for manufacturing. The main works ofthis dissertation can be summarized as follows:First of all, this paper analyzed the research status of domestic and abroad on the fie ld oftopology optimization, studied the model building, optimization solving algorithms andengineering constraints and post-processing techniques, compared the advantages anddisadvantages of the SIMP (Solid Isotropic Microstructures with Penalization) method, theLevel Set Method, and PLSM (Parameterization Level Set Method).Secondly, based on the existing research, this paper provides the general mathematicalmodel of the continuum structure topology optimization for manufacturing, adopts newnumerical methods to solve topology optimization problems with symmetric constraint anddimensional constraint. Several test examples have been carried out and comparative analysisof the results prove that the proposed method has superiority of efficiency.Thirdly, aimed at the post processing for topology optimization based on variable densitymethod, this paper studied the algorithm flow of the existing B-Spline interpolation method,proposes a hybrid approach of topology optimization by combining the ParameterizationLevel-Set Method (PLSM) with the SIMP method, called the PLSM-SIMP method.Finally, the PLSM-SIMP method is applied to post-processing of topologyoptimization.The superiority of this method has been proved by several engineering practicalexamples.
