As a developing country transportation industry has played a tremendous role inpromoting the growth of national economy and social development,across span port andnavigable river and large bridge have become more and more. At the same time,the tonnageis change, the speed of the ship is also change, the waterway ships and tonnage areconstantly increasing, coupled with the external environmental factors (such as heavy rain,flood) and human error operation, which makes the ship collision with bridge catastrophicaccident increases day by day. At present, researchers of all over the world have paied closeattention to the bridge collision and protection study by extensively.In this paper, ANSYS/LS-DYNA which is a non-linear dynamic finite elementsoftware is applied to simulate the problems of ship-bridge collision. The key technique ofsimulation and the parameters of established model of ship-bridge collision are discussed.On this basis, established the ship-bridge collision finite element model, analysis thecollision force, the energy absorption capacity and the structure damage;establishment of theaddition of protective device of ship-bridge collision model, with no added protectiondevice are compared, the protective device process and mechanism are analyzed; and theprotective performance of the system comparative analysis.The major work and conclusionsare listed as following:(1) To gain an intimate knowledge of ship-bridge collision and protection problems andsumming up the realities, hot issue and difficult points based on the reading of relatedmaterials.(2) The ship-bridge collision model is established by using finite element software,ANSYS/LS-DYNA the key technique of structure modeling and parameters selecting aresolved and the whole process of the collision is simulated. The collision force, energychanging and structure damage are analyzed.(3) Using ANSYS/LS-DYNA software to establish protective device of ship-bridgecollision model, study the impact in the process of collision, the change of energyconversion and structural damage, compared with without protective device the conditioncomparative analysis.(4) This paper presents two kinds of sandwich steel plates, through the study of theclose type sandwich plate is better than ordinary steel plate and interval sandwich plate, which applied the close type sandwich plate in the protective device; studied the locationchange speed change the improvement of the device quality and the ship stiffness change oncrashworthiness of device impact on protective effect.
