After the pile foundation through a long development, it has become the main form ofbasic structure. Nowadays with the rapid development of advanced, there appear more andmore complex structures, such as large high-rise building, port hub and offshore oil platform,etc. It leads the pile foundation structure diversification of force and becoming morecomplex. the scholars have done a lot of research about pile under vertical load and obtainedthe mature theory, but the study of pile foundation under horizontal load is still not matureenough. This article used the actual geological data, meteorological data and pile foundationof Quan Zhou port wharf engineering as the research background. Using the finite elementanalysis software ANSYS to establish model of the single pile and pile group. Analyze theinteraction between the pile and soil and study the law of pile foundation under horizontalload. It guides the pile foundation in practical engineering applications to achieve securityand economic.This article describes the development history of the pile loaded laterally at home andabroad and some of the classical theory of the pile loaded laterally,for later pile foundationcharacteristic analysis to pave the way. Due to the particularity of the soil-pile material,under the action of the horizontal load of the pile and soil deformation isnon-linear,non-linear calculation with a high degree of complexity, this article introducesthe non-linear knowledge. In this paper, use the main software is the large general-purposefinite element software ANSYS, three-dimensional simulation is the core content of thisarticle.This article describes in detail the establishment of the soil-pile model and thecalculation process, from material selection unit, meshing, contact elements set, until thecalculation process, has carried on the detailed introduction and process operation of reasonand reference standard.This paper mainly use finite element method, then extracting a large number ofcalculation data from the post-processing for analysis and to summarize the law. The finiteelement method analysis is mainly divided into two parts, the first part is to investigate theoperating characteristics of single pile under horizontal loads. Calculating single pilehorizontal displacement at different pile diameter, pile embedded depth, soil modulus,vertical load. Then fitting the displacement data to summarizes the work pattern of thesingle pile. the second part is to investigate the pile group on the basis of the study of singlepile horizontal bearing performance. Calculating the pile group foundation horizontaldisplacement at different operating conditions. Then analysis the influence of the pilenumber, pile distance, pile diameter, pile embedded depth and the soil modulus to the pilegroup foundation horizontal displacement and the pile group affection. The functionis y F(N, S,D,L,E).Not only to consider the size of the horizontal displacement, but alsoconsider the impact of pile group affection on the level of carrying capacity. In order to verify the correctness of calculation, By using a large number of data processing and basicknowledge of soil mechanics, this paper amend the previous pile displacement formula andmodify the original formula coefficient. And compare the ANSYS result to the correctionformula pile displacement result, and improve persuasive.
