With the further development of modern technology, AC variable frequency controldevices are widely used in military, industrial and agricultural production and daily life.ACvariable frequency control technology has been constantly improved and perfected. Spacevector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) plays an important role in the AC variablefrequency control devices. The SVPWM control algorithm based on FPGA can also enhanceand improve the performance of system. So it has become a hot research issue in recent years.This article was based on the detailed theoretical analysis and derivation of Space VectorPulse Width Modulation. Then SVPWM control algorithm was simulated in Matlab/Simulinkenvironment. The simulation models included sinusoidal signal generator, clarketransformation, the calculation of basic voltage vector action time and the generation of PWM.And SVPWM system were designed and realized by the association of Quartus Ⅱ, Matlab andDSP Builder. The design of DDS sine signal generator module, Clarke module, the basic timeof voltage vector calculation module and triangle wave module were finished. Finally, on theFPGA experimental platform based on Altera’s Cyclone series EP1C6Q240C8models werecompiled and simulated and made the comparison of SVPWM simulation results with thesimulation results of Matlab/Simulink, which verified the correctness and feasibility of thehardware design scheme.
