Along with the fast development of the country's economic, with the appearance of new power electron apparatus and microprocessor, also with the development of the control theory on the AC induction motor, the technology of Variable-frequency has made tremendous progress. This paper presents a DSP-based AC induction motor variable frequency system, which based on this background.In this paper, The digital signal processor (DSP) TMS320LF2407A, which is TI's motor dedicated microprocessor is the core of the control system, uses Intelligent Power Module (IPM) PM25RSB120 as apparatus of the inverter, Research the digital pulse width modulation (PWM) Frequency Control System by using sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) and space voltage vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) technology.In this design, the SPWM and SVPWM are further studied. Using slip frequency control method and SPWM, we give a general design scheme of the slip frequency variable voltage variable frequency control system. According to the vector control theory, coordinate transformation and SVPWM, we give a general design scheme of the slip frequency vector control system, make a simulation research using Matlab/Simulink.The hardware circuit of the AC-DC-AC voltage source type controlling system is designed including main circuit, control circuit, power circuit and detection circuit. The flowchart of main program and main sub modules are given in the control system's software part., and programmed parts of them, the SPWM and SVPWM are emphasis, and obtain ideal modulation waveform, the correctness of the modulation algorithm is proved by experiment. Finally, the correctness and feasibility of the control system are proved by the results of simulation and experiment.
