Analysis Of Defense Features Of The Chinese Traditional Garden Space

Defense is an instinctive reaction to survive which promotes the development andevolution of human living space and the formation of constructing space system. Theearliest human form of building have the purpose of defense. Along with the progress ofthe human, the defense needs has constantly changed, but the human subconsciousdefense consciousness did not disappear whose performance is not obvious and defensecapabilities are ignored through the culture, art, the appearance of packaging in otherwords.This paper mainly analysed the process of development and spatial structure ofcities,villages, yards, and gardens and revealed the isomorphism phenomenon of Chinesetraditional construction space system which has obvious and strong defensivequalities.The traditional construction space is the space carrier of Chinese nation defensepsychology and is based on the functional requirements of the settled agricultural peoplesurvival and safety.As an important part of Chinese traditional construction system, the landscape spacedefense function could be weaken or lost, but the defense characteristics remain existentguided by space defense psychology and could evolve into the aesthetic art features as themain function; Its defense psychology has evolved the recluse culture of literati gardensand the isomorphism phenomenon among the Chinese traditional arts.Not only the gardenspace, other traditional Chinese arts also reflect the features of defense psychology ofancient Chinese people.
