| The air pollution and energy shortage are increasingly becoming the majorproblems that urgent need to be solved with the development of China AutomobileIndustry into the21st century, especially the haze weather across the country in theend of2012sounded the alarm for the deteriorating atmospheric environment ofChina. The vehicle driving cycle is very important for improving the fuelconsumption rate, reducing the atmosphere pollution during the fuel combustionprocess. But the research of vehicle driving cycle in China lags far behind thedeveloped countries of Europe, the United States, Japan and so on. Currently, China’semission and fuel consumption conditions standard basically follow the Europeandriving cycle standard ECE15, Therefore, the research of vehicle road driving cyclestandard based on Chinese urban road is of great significance for improving the fuelconsumption rate, reducing emissions and control of pollution.This paper relies on the China Automotive driving cycle research project fromChina Automotive Technology and Research Center, We select the typical urban roadto take vehicle road driving conditions data, the data is processed and analyzedthrough the data processing and analysis software, Finally, the vehicle road drivingcycle that complies with vehicle running on city roads is constructed by theshort-stroke method. The vehicle conditions experimental data acquisition of thisstudy is through PDA mounted on the vehicle based on GPRS wireless dataacquisition system. We delineated the data acquisition area but not selected dataacquisition route, we divide the collected vehicle condition data into kinematicsequence after the validity analysis, and then calculate the driving characteristicvalues of kinematic sequence such as the average speed, the average acceleration.Finally, the kinematic sequences are divided into three types through the principalcomponent analysis and cluster analysis, and the permutations and combinations offragments are done according to the length of time such as20minutes, we analyze thecharacteristics of the new combination of segments, when the feature coincide withthe overall fragment feature, we select the combination of segments as the vehicledriving cycle. We compare the constructed vehicle road driving cycle and typicalforeign vehicle driving cycle to find out the similarities and differences between them,and draw relevant conclusions. Because we collect data with many cars and wedelineated the data acquisition area but not selected data acquisition route,the samekinematic sequences on different type of road are retained in the analysis of the data,so the constructed cycle is more in line with the vehicle’s actual road running, the results show that the time proportion of acceleration and deceleration based on theChina urban road vehicle driving cycle is higher than the European vehicle drivingcycle, and the time proportion of constant speed based on the China urban roadvehicle driving cycle is lower than the European vehicle driving cycle, this reflectsChina’s vehicle road driving feature. The standard based on ECE15is difficult toreflect vehicle’s actual fuel consumption and emissions of the Chinese city, so theresearch of vehicle driving cycle based on Chinese urban road is of great significancefor the development of our vehicle road driving cycle, reducing vehicle fuelconsumption, developing China’s oil consumption Standard, as well as technologydevelopment and evaluation of new models. This research method laid the foundationfor in-depth study of China’s vehicle road driving conditions. |
