Handling and stability is an important dynamic properties as well as a key technical issue of mini-car. Virtual prototype technology based on Multi-body dynamics provides an advanced way of vehicle handling and stability analysis and design. This paper reviews the development status and future trends of system dynamics and introduces the theory of Multi-body dynamics and uncertain optimization. A mini-car multi-body model is built by ADAMS/car including the following details:the front suspension system, the rear suspension, steering system, body system, power system, brake system. The connections in the multi-body modeling between the components are built with constraints and force elements in ADAMS according to the real structure. The road is generated by using VB program and driver control file is established. We run the dynamics simulation about handling based national standards and the vehicle handling stability was analyzed and evaluated.For the problem are presented on the analysis process, A uncertainty optimization method considering uncertainty of the front suspension was proposed. Macpherson suspension model of a car was built based on Adams/car. The design parameter’s sensitivity was analyzed by Adams/insight. And then, for the greater sensitivity of design parameters and uncertain parameters, A Kriging model and a High dimensional approximate model was established which explicitly expressed the approximate relationship between the design parameters and the wheel alignment parameters maximum variation in the wheel beating and simplified the optimization process. The model’s stability was analyzed the NSGA-and the IP-GA were used to solve the multi-objective uncertain optimization problem. The optimization results indicate that these methods have high accuracy and validity. Finally, the results were compared with those of certain optimization, which have proved that uncertain optimization has better robustness.
