With the rapid development of national economy and auto industry, the numberof family car has been increasing, which make the parking problem worse and it hasbecome a challenge to the urban development. It is an inexorable trend that traditionalparking lot transforms to the automated modern three-dimensional parking garage.But the research on the three-dimensional parking structure is still at an early stage athome, so systematic study on this has important practical significanceThe parking problem of Chinese city is mainly concentrated in the prosperouscommercial centers at the present stage. The parking garages building on this areamust have some characteristics including of small space-occupancy, layout flexibility,higher building altitude, short construction term. And the high-rise vertical lift3-Dparking structure of elevator style best matches these requirements. In this thesis, theresearch is exactly concentrated on this type and a small interlayer truss3-D parkingstructure is adopted as the structural analysis model. The thesis mainly includes thefollowing contents:The applications and developments of3-D parking structure were reviewed anddiscussed. The analysis theory of earthquake resistance capability of building wassummarized, containing the selecting methods of seismic records, the reasonableselection of earthquake intensity index, the key technologies and difficulties ofnumerical simulation for collapse process. And the analysis method of seismiccollapse-resistant capacity was explained.Firstly, the basic composition and characteristics of interlayer truss3-D parkingstructure were briefly introduced. Then the mechanical performance of basiccomposition unit of interlayer truss was analyzed. And the influences of performanceparameters containing energy dissipation beam length, stiffness factor of beam tocolumn, stiffness factor of web member to frame beam and brace section uponmechanical performance of the interlayer truss were discussed in detail.Then the seismic performance of the overall model of interlayer truss3-Dparking structure was studied under severe earthquake. According the structuralfeature of3-D parking structure, the influences of arrangement of horizontal support,arrangement of middle continuous beam, middle column section and distributionpatterns of different story height upon the seismic performance of overall structure were detailedly discussed. In addition, the effect of distribution patterns of vehiclelive loads on structural seismic performance was analyzed.Finally, the collapse process of interlayer truss3-D parking structure wasnumerically simulated. The seismic performance and collapse-resistant capacities ofthe3-D parking structure were quantitatively evaluated from both the levels ofperformance-based and collapse, with fragility analysis method based on anincremental dynamic analysis (IDA).The research in this paper could provide theoretical basis and reference for thepractical engineering application of the3-D parking structure.
