To protect the environment, save energy and meet the needs of sustainable development, mining companies cogeneration plants and urban central heating, thermoelectric even production, combined cycle energy development and utilization of other projects at home and abroad has been vigorously promoted, with the support the small turbine generator demand, favored by the market. Original air-cooled turbine30MW due to stator, rotor temperature, efficiency standards and other technical indicators can not be sent to35MW, need to re-develop QF-35-210500V Series air-cooled turbine to meet market requirements. This paper studies this type of generator design, manufacturing and testing process several key issues, including thefollowing:1.Confirming the electrical parameters.2.Confirming the generator frame.3.Analysing the electrical parameters.4. Calculating the critical speed with Prohl method.5. Designing and calculating of the key parts-stator winding. It gives the way to calculate,draw and the way of transposition.6. Analysing and comparing the generator type test results.The product development process to learn from foreign advanced technology, using new structural design, the design and manufacture of the generator for a useful exploration and research, successfully achieved the expected results, research and development of QF-35-210500V air-cooled turbine generator structure reasonable, advanced technology, excellent performance, this new product will be put into operation to create a good economic and social benefits. Meanwhile, the successful development of new products to improve the design and manufacture of generators, air-cooled turbo variants developed series of new products to lay a foundation.
