This passage study in the main drive of synchronous motor vector control technology for the plate production line of large steel metallurgy.It’s basised of the research and analysis the technology of control principle, combined with the technical problems appeared in the process of maintenance of equipment operation,through analyzing and researching the theory to find the solutions.The solutions to resolve the technical problems and test methods should be adopted.It is not only improved the control ability of this technology,but also enhenced the fault analysis ability of this technology, so as to ensure the stability of the equipment operation, laid the foundation for the enterprise production index improvement.From the beginning of the last century of80’s, synchronous motor cycloconverter vector control technology and equipment had been researched and developmented in the electric companies of Europe and the United States.Afterly,our country introduced the technology and equipment,and then studied of it, widely applied in the domestic. The technology of cycloconverter vector control as a new technology gradually replace DC speed regulation system,so that bring the technology promotion opportunities to the technical personnel of enterprises.However,large synchronous motor cycloconverter vector control technology having the depth and breadth of its theory, is also the challenge to the technical personnel. Electric drive for large rolling equipment requires fast dynamic response and high overload capacity.However, medium and heavy plate production line of rolling mill after the application of variable frequency speed regulation system,in the reson of the change of production specifications, production operation,and installation quality,produced technology problem of power component damage, damage detection device suddenly, fault tripping all during the operation process,so that brought certain influence to the production index improvement.In this passage, taking Siemens SIMADYN-D synchronous motor cycloconverter vector control technology as an example,briefly introduced the theoretical basis of the involved system,system composition, hardware parts of the functional components and control software, mainly focus on various technical issues in the operation process of the system, based on analysis of the causes of the problem, to study and solve the problem of synchronous motor vector control technology, in order to find the system improvement measures and test methods to make sure the system stable operation.The improved system is stable,can be reliable operated, greatly play rolling equipment production capacity, particularly in the current severe market situation faced with metallurgical enterprises, by adjusting the production process and product specifications structure, enhanced the profit,made sure the long-term stable development of enterprises.
