Slab bridges have clear mechanical characteristics with simple structures. This kind ofbridges can be prefabricated centrally and constructed by fabrication, whose buildingprocedure is both simple and reliable with short construction period. Because the slabs arenot very high, this kind of bridge structure is widely applied in the plains, micro hills whoseconstruction hight are limited. In order to lighten the weight of the bridge, the slab near theneutral axis can be made hollow. The simply supported structure is statically determinate structure, whose mechanicalcharacteristic is simple and clear. They can reduce or avoid the additional effects offoundation deflection and teperature changes on the structures. The simply supportedreinforced concrete slab bridge combines the characteristics of the simply supportedstructure and the slab bridge structure, and is widely used in the bridge engineering. With the extension of bridge service period, the bridges can encounter differentdamges. The main damages are as follows:(1)Cracks in the pavement;(2)Transverse crack or longitudinal crack in the slab bottom;(3)Damage in cross link and single slab carries the force;(4)Expansion joint damage;(5)Bump at bridge-headTo the damged bridge, detection should be conducted to fully dig the exsiting loadcarrying ability. Based on the detection results, the load limitation, maintenance, reinforcement or removal are conducted reasonably. In the respect of test method researches on the simply supported reinforced concreteslab bridges, some meaningful results have been already achieved. However, if the researchresults are in universality needs further researches. In case of drawing loss, there are few researches on how to test the bridge and assessthe service conditions. Therefore, it is meaningful for this paper to conduct researches on test method for the simply supported reinforced concrete slab bridges in case of drawing losscombined the practical engineering. This paper takes a simply supported reinforced concrete slab bridge without drawingmaterials as the practical project, and conducts the following researches:1. The non-destructive testing method is applied to recover parts of the deginparameters. First, the appearance size of the bridge is determined, and then the reinforcementarrange and the reinforcement diameter in the main board is measured. Next, the hollow holearrangement, shape, and the main geometry size are also measured. At last, the conctretestrength value of the bridge main board is tested.2. The object of the static load test for the simply supported reinforced concrete slabbridge is made clear. Based on the recovered design parameters, the finite elementtheoretical model of space truss is constructed. Relied on the theoretical model and themechanical characteristics of the simply supported slab bridge, the test plan of the bridge ismade up. The static load test is conducted on the test plan to measure the static responses ofeach control section. And assessment is conducted to the static characters based on the testresults.3. The contents and the objects for the bridge dynamic characters are discussed.Reasonable stimulating method is selected by analyzing the bridge stimulating methods.According to the characters of bridge dynamic parameter identification and the basicmechanism of frequency function, the transmissibility function is presented tp identify thebridge dynamic parameters. Based on the theoretical analysis results and the basicmechanism of dynamic load test, the dynamic response of the bridge is measured and thedynamic parameters of the bridge are identified. Finally, the dynamic performance of thesimply supported reinforced concrete slab bridge is assessed based on the measured resultsof dymaic parameters.
