At present, both at home and abroad with the people’s living standards improve, peoplequickly to buildings environmental comfort requirements also more and more high, thecorresponding building energy consumption has increased, resulting in the global energyconsumption too fast, worsening environmental pollution. How in the comfort, energyconsumption and environment to find a reasonable balance is architectural design, buildingenergy saving in the field of the eternal theme. Use of phase change energy storage buildingmaterials building palisade structure, can reduce indoor temperature fluctuation, improvescomfort, make the building heating or air conditioning use less energy, improve energyutilization efficiency; Can solve the heat supply and demand contradiction mismatch, airconditioning and heating system using night cheap electric operation, reduce air conditioningand heating system operation cost.In this paper research the domestic present building energy saving technology is mainlybased on the external wall thermal insulation, and then the current wall thermal insulationtechnology deficiency, so as to elicit a new kind of phase change materials used for retainingstructure storage energy saving ideas. This paper mainly discussed from three aspects: thephase of the building material technology, the paper about the concept, principle, selection,category, feature and energy conservation value, and for the subsequent application researchgroundwork. Two from three aspects discussed the feasibility of its application, which is thepreparation technology, energy saving effect, application quality. This part mainly through thefield at home and abroad research, market goods, test, building energy saving technicalstandard, energy-saving evaluation index, domestic product quality test method, testparameters, construction technical advantage, etc to do this and discussed. The third isenumerated the application demonstration buildings at home and abroad that phase changebuilding materials in the floor, walls and maintain the structure of the application of energysaving effect. Finally the paper enumerated the two residential use case at home and abroad,this paper discusses the material of construction techniques, draw the construction detaildrawing. And the energy saving effect of the project made a preliminary analysis.This paper finally arrive at phase change building materials in building energy saving application have advantage, and with the phase change materials building energy efficiencycan be a wide range of application feasibility report. The author thinks that phase changebuilding materials in the future in the field of building energy saving application prospect isvery good, but in the promotion process need to solve the difficulties still many. The phasechange energy saving building materials market in the future and difficulties there each other,the urgent need to building materials related field researchers conduct further to explore thetheory and experimental investigation.
