Based on the multi-rigid-body theory,a vibration isolation rig is designed for an actualdiesel engine to reduce the the transfer of vibration to the base. The vibration characteristics,including modal calculation,fecuency response function,forced vibration time and frequencydomain response of a single and two-stage vibration isolation system ale calculated.The vibration type of rigid body and the coupling in a single vibration isolation system isdescribed. coordinate transformation method of euler angle and the multi-rigid—body theoryare used to Derivate the vibration differential equations and calculate the frequency andvibration mode with MATLAB,and the calculated results was compared with results ofANSYS to verify the accuracy of the multi-rigid—body theory.The FRF was calculated by using impedance admittance methods.The frequencyresponse function curves and the influence of damping and Intermediate mass on frequencyresponse curves are analyzed. two methods of step by step integration are described andForced vibration time domain response of the system was calculated by using Newmarkmethod with MATLAB.The main disturbance force of a single-cylinder diesel engine is Analysed. the excitedforces are calculated according to the ZS1115diesel engine parameters. accuracy of thetheory is verified by Experiment.A two—stage vibration isolation rig is designed for the ZS1115diesel engine, includingthe selection of intermediate mass and isolator type, the layout of the isolator,and theinstallation of the rig and so on. The characteristics are analysed, and the transfer process ofpower flow transmission is researched. The test of the rig is simulated. In this paper, thedesign of the rig has the effects including a simple structure, easy installation, good vibrationisolation.
