Compared with other projects, the tunnel engineering has the characteristics of concealment, complexity and uncertainty, which makes the process of tunnel engineering design, construction and operation, influenced by many factors and bigger investment risk. If the preliminary design stage is thoughtless, it may result in significant economic losses and adverse social impact. Therefore, it is necessary to assess the risk in the preliminary design stage of tunnel engineering. The paper relied on the Six Dragons Tunnel project, according to the characteristics of the tunnel itself. By using of on-site research, theoretical analysis and numerical calculation of the Six Dragons Tunnel, we studied the assessment of the risk in Six Dragons Tunnel. The main contents include the following aspects:1. From the present research situation at home and abroad, it is clear about our country tunnel project risk assessment main problems, through the comparison research status at home and abroad risk assessment. On this basis, this paper expounds the definition of risk, risk identification and risk assessment of the related concepts. At the same time, the common risk evaluation method, the risk analysis steps and the process of risk assessment are introduced and comment, and introduces the risk control measures.2. Taking the example of Six Dragons Tunnel, first of all, this paper mainly identified the risk from the mouth of the cave instability, landslides, gas, water inrush mud and environmental risk by identifying the actual tunnel engineering risk source. Secondly, for the above single-risk events, respectively, analyzed each of the risk factors, identified the main risk factors according to the degree of the impact of various factors; Then, the main factors for each risk event, scoring by experts to assess the impact of the six dragons tunnel construction of major risk events; Finally, the above single risk event, and the risk factors in each risk event, the Six Dragons Tunnel overall risk assessment, to come to the level of risk for grade II.3. In accordance with the Six Dragons Tunnel actual engineering risk event, respectively, to work out the appropriate risk control measures affect the risk of the tunnel, so the risk of gas for the tunnel control developed detailed control measures, based on a single risk event in Gasthe Six Dragons Tunnel project in order to enhance security.The paper relied on actual engineering, and was based on engineering site investigation. Based on Six Dragon Tunnel preliminary design risk assessment model, evaluate the Six Dragon Tunnel preliminary design risk level, and make the risk control measures, provide a reference for Six Dragon Tunnel project smoothly implementation.
