The continuous flight auger is an important construction machine in pile foundation construction. Its drilling capacity which is drilling diameter, drilling depth and speed is important for the machine. But its development is limited by the drilling diameter and depth and the low level in its automation and intelligent. However, rotation which is combining with vibration can effectively enhance the long auger drilling capacity and relieve constraints. The paper carried out a series of research on the assistant vibration system of the continuous flight auger.Firstly, according to the analysis of cutting theory, resonance theory and the reduction of side resistance, this paper proved that the assistant vibration can improve the drilling capacity. Secondly, assistant vibration was designed after the frequency, force and power had confirmed based on resonance theory. Thirdly, the hydraulic control system was redesigned to adapt to the new continuous flight auger with assistant vibration. What’s more, the intelligent control system with soil recognition was designed by adopting host computer and CAN controller combined with improved least square method. Besides, the simulation of soil recognition improved that the system of recognition is accurate. In addition, the article adopted fuzzy PID which regulated the system best according to simulation. At last, through the experiment of drilling by the continuous flight auger with assistant vibration, the results proved that the drilling capacity was better than traditional.As the result of these research above, the article provided the theoretical and experimental basis for the continuous flight auger with assistant vibration and its value of reference and practical significance is important for its application in engineering.
