Iron and steel industry is a high energy consumption industry and is of huge energy saving potential. Rational utilization of blast furnace gas is one of the important directions of energy conservation and emission reduction in iron and steel enterprises. Practice shows that power generation through burning blast furnace gas is an effective way. However, the composition of blast furnace gas volatiles greatly with the change of blast furnace condition. The characteristics of low calorific value and burning difficulty make blast furnace gas boiler with instability combustion and low efficiency thermal. Therefore, it is of great practical significance for iron and steel enterprises in our country to realize energy conservation and emissions reduction by researching on blast furnace gas boiler combustion technology and seeking technical measures to improve the blast furnace gas boiler combustion stability and the thermal efficiency.With a220t/h burning blast furnace gas boiler of domestic steel enterprise self-provided power plant as research object, on the basis of consulting a large number of literature and with the aid of computer numerical simulation technology, in-depth research on blast furnace gas boiler adopting oxygen-enriched combustion technology was conducted and oxygen-enriched combustion technical transformation was carried according to theory research results of boiler, the stable combustion and effective working of the blast furnace gas boiler was realized and remarkable economic and social benefits were obtained in this paper.The main research contents of this paper are:(1) Cold dynamic field test on real furnace boiler was conducted, cold flow characteristics of boiler pipe and valve were understood comprehensively and dynamic characteristics of cold air flow characteristics in the furnace were mastered,which provided reference for thermal state operation of the boiler and oxygen-enriched combustion technical transformation.(2)Numerical simulation on flow field and temperature field of boiler oxygen-enriched combustion process was conducted by using computer simulation technology and the oxygen-enriched combustion characteristic was analyzed and compared, The simulation results show that the effection of oxygen enriched combustion is not obvious when the oxygen quatity is little,but when the oxygen quatity is too more,the safe operation of the boiler might be affected.which provided theory basis for boiler oxygen-enriched combustion transformation.(3)Hot state test on real furnace boiler was conducted, boiler operation of before and after the modification of oxygen-enriched combustion technology in boiler was compared, and the results show that the furnace temperature increased by50K, the incomplete combustion loss in the furnace is decreased by1.5%and the thermal efficiency is improved by3.23%after oxygen-enriched combustion technology modification. Practice has proved that oxygen-enriched combustion technology can improve the combustion stability of blast furnace gas boiler significantly, strengthen the furnace heat exchange in the furnace effectively, improve the thermal efficiency of boiler and produce great economic and social benefits.
