Since the development of industrial production efficiency, while increasing emphasis on production safety, the importance of mechanical vibration monitoring equipment growing strengthen, to avoid losses caused by the unexpected undesigned mechanical vibrations. Spectrum analyzer is important part of mechanical vibration monitoring equipment system. Through the appropriate processing technology, it obtains the corresponding spectrum vibration signal information to help the monitoring personnel determining current operation status of equipment, and achieve the purpose of improving the mechanical vibration monitoring’s efficiency.To meet these needs, the thesis introduced the design and implementation of vibration spectrum analyzer based on embedded system. The analyzer is based on ARM Cortex-M3core. It implements sampling quantization process on the analog vibration signal, converted by vibration sensor. Then, the analyzer performs the corresponding algorithms on the quantized vibration signal, such as IIR digital filter, FFT, etc. After the processes before, the analyzer obtains the spectrum analysis result, which satisfys the design requirements. The analyzer is equipped with the appropriate real-time operating system μC/OS-Ⅱ,to implement multi-task switching. And it uses μC/GUI to achieve interactive features to provide richer functionality extensions. Also the analyzer is equipped SD card module with file system to store and recall the analysis result.To ensure the practicability of the analyzer, the target vibration signal spectrum ranges:0-10kHz, spectral resolution, depending on the signal frequency are:(1).10~200Hz:2Hz;(2).200~1kHz:20Hz;(3).1k~10kHz:40Hz. On the basis of the above goals, this thesis designs a three-stage solution, that primary scanning combined with precise scanning. The analyzer processes the signal according to the solution, and then shows the current top five highest amplitude peak and some characteristic quanties of time domain, as the reference information of vibration situation.Through the software and hardware solutions introduced in this thesis, the vibration spectrum analyzer reaches the designed objectives above, and achieves good results.
